The MAGNT National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Award (NATSIAA) Collection
The National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Award was established in 1984 to promote appreciation and understanding of the quality and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art from Indigenous artists working in traditional and contemporary media across Australia. The MAGNT has collected over 200 works through this annually staged award exhibition. This significant collection of works provides a survey of developments and transitions within Australian Indigenous art practices and is an invaluable resource to support current and future research.
